We’re thrilled to announce the launch of Summer of Play, a four-week-long digital activity designed to engage, educate, and reward US-and-UK-based marketers. Running from August 13th to September 13th, this exciting event will feature educational content on the gaming audience and in-game advertising world, fun quizzes, and fantastic prizes.
Whether you’re familiar with our work in gaming and advertising or not, we invite you to join the fun and test your in-game knowledge for a chance to win!

You can subscribe to our content anytime during the competition by entering your work email in our “Game Theory” subscription box below.

Every Tuesday, we’ll share new gaming insights and content with our subscribers via email.
On Thursdays at 11:00 AM UTC-5 (11:00 AM US Eastern Time), subscribers will receive a quiz that covers the content shared earlier in the week. Answer all the questions correctly, and you’ll be entered into a drawing for our weekly prize. For every quiz you ace (100%), you’ll score one entry into the Grand Prize drawing at the end of the competition. Participation every week is optional, but the more quizzes you answer correctly, the better your chances of winning the Grand Prize.

The following is a detailed list of important dates during the Summer of Play competition. Please note to win our weekly prize, you have 24 hours after the quiz launch to achieve a 100% score and be entered into our weekly drawing. To win our Grand Prize, you must score 100% on any quizzes by September 6, 2024, to enter our Grand Prize drawing. Quiz answers will be shared on this page at the end of the competition.
On Tuesdays we'll share content, on Thursdays the quiz, and on Mondays announce the weekly winner. On Sept 13th, the competition ends, and we'll announce the Grand Prize Winner.

To be eligible for prizes:
You must be a marketing, brand, or communications professional.
You must normally be a resident of the US or the UK.
Prize delivery is restricted to US and UK territories.
Be over the age of eighteen (18) prior to participating in the Competition.
You must be willing to share a valid mailing address for prize delivery and any other information requested by us (including but not limited to tax forms for proof of residency), as required to administer this competition.
You agree with the terms and conditions for this competition [HERE].
Activision Blizzard Media employees or parent company employees are not eligible for prizes.
If you want to be eligible for prizes, please be sure to adhere to the following rules (full terms and conditions set out here):
1.) Use the same email you subscribed with to participate in the quiz.
2.) Provide a valid work email, job title, and company.
3.) You can take the quiz multiple times.
4.) Submissions with 100% correct answers will be entered into our weekly prize drawing every Friday. Once you’ve submitted one 100% correct entry, further entries won’t count or be entered into the weekly quiz.
5.) Those with perfect scores will also be entered into our grand prize drawing on Sep 13, 2024. For each perfect score for each weekly quiz, you’ll submit one entry into the Grand Prize draw. This means if you score perfectly on multiple weekly quizzes, you’ll increase your chances of getting the Grand Prize!
6.) Individuals can only be entered into the weekly drawing once a week.
7.) You can win up to one weekly prize and one Grand Prize.
8.) Weekly drawings close at 11:00 AM UTC-5 every Friday, and winners will be announced on our site and followed up with individually.
9.) Winners will be contacted individually 1-2 business days after quizzes are sent or, in the case of the Grand Prize, after the Grand Prize winner is announced.
10.) Winners who don’t respond within 30 days with all the required information will forfeit their prize.
11.) If no one scores 100% for a week’s quiz, Activision reserves the right not to award a weekly prize for that week or select from the next highest set of scores.
Note: Winners should expect to receive prizes around 4-6 weeks after sharing their address, depending on their location. If you win a weekly or grand prize, we may publish your name, company, job title, and country of residence on our (or our affiliate companies) social media channels and website. Please let us know if you have any questions on this!
